Energy storage project for Henan Textile Industry

  Recently, the Far East Storage 5MW/10MWh project was successfully implemented in Henan, becoming the first energy storage benchmark project in the local textile industry. As an important component of the "Ten Provinces, Hundred Businesses, Thousand Parks" strategy, Far East Storage continuously accelerates its project layout in key industries and regions. Following the successful implementation of multiple energy storage solutions in the textile industry in Hebei and accumulating rich practical experience, Far East Storage has once again set its sights on the Central Plains region, leading the way to promote a demonstration project in Henan’s textile industry that smoothly integrates into the grid. This injects new momentum into the green and low-carbon transformation of local manufacturing.

  The project is located in an industrial park in Henan, with a system configuration including two 5MWh energy storage containers and one 5MW integrated PCS and step-up transformer unit supplied by Far East Storage. It connects to the park's distribution room at a 10kV voltage level. The project utilizes Far East Storage’s self-developed EMS (Energy Management System) to achieve peak-to-valley arbitrage, demand management, and anti-backflow functions, while supporting remote management and rapid fault response capabilities, effectively enhancing the system's safety and economic benefits.

  

  The project employs Far East Storage’s liquid-cooled PowerSTROM 5000 energy storage container, which has a standard capacity of 5.016MWh, offering high energy density, high efficiency, robust stability, and flexible configuration. Each cabinet features a standard 20-foot single-side door design and supports a multi-level fire protection architecture with an integrated safety linkage system. The intelligent temperature control system effectively manages temperatures and thermal gradients, improving system efficiency by 1% and extending cycle life by 10%, ensuring safety while reducing long-term operational costs and providing stable, reliable energy support for enterprises undergoing green energy transitions.

  With the project's grid integration, the park's energy structure has been optimized. Through the peak-to-valley electricity price mechanism, the energy storage system effectively reduces electricity costs, with an estimated annual saving of over RMB 1.6 million for the enterprise. The investment payback period is approximately 5 to 7 years. Additionally, throughout its lifecycle, the system can generate continuous income through power market trading and demand response models, providing both economic and environmental benefits to textile enterprises.

  Looking ahead, Far East Storage will continue to deepen its presence in the Henan market, accelerating the construction of clustered energy storage projects. By reducing energy costs and enhancing the adaptability of systems across various scenarios, it aims to gradually decrease traditional industries' reliance on fossil fuels. Far East Storage will continually promote the deep integration of green energy and manufacturing, contributing to the energy upgrade in the textile industry and sustainable social development.
